Potato Promotion Board Revamps Seed Export Program

The National Potato Promotion Board recently took action to refine its program for developing Latin American markets for U.S. seed potatoes. The seed export program will work to open markets for U.S. seed, run uniform trials and identify potential buyers. The overall concept is that the board will help open the markets, and U.S. growers will pursue specific opportunities to make the sale. The largest domestic hunger-relief organization with a national net work of 200 food bankes and food-rescue programs America's Second Harvest is trying to transport 20 miloin pounds of idaho russets.
